What

So this is my first time starting an actual blog. What I’m trying to accomplish here is to write about the cool stuff that I’m up to in my free time. The posts that I have in mind right now will be mostly personal research. There are also a bunch of really cool volunteering opportunities in cybersecurity so I plan to participate and write about some of these. I’m also a big competitor so expect there to be some CTF and HtB writeups. Finally, I might write explanations of technical topics if I feel like I can help someone have an easier time understanding them than I did.

Why

The primary reason I’m doing this is because it would be fun. I took a software engineering class in college and my professor had us write weekly blogs. It was really fun sharing my experience with others and talking to them about what they had been working on.

Another reason I’m doing this is that I think some of these posts will have some value. I learned a lot through reading personal research blogs and CTF writeups so I’m very excited to be that resource for someone else.

The final reason is a more professional one. Having a record of what I’m up to in cybersecurity can also double as a portfolio that I can point to if I’m applying for jobs.
